Our book "Now and Then - Brampton" was the first of our unique style of publications. It included vintage photos of typical scenes in that community. These locales were then re-photographed, standing where the first photographer stood, to provide pictures of these places as they were at the time the book was printed.

On a summer day in 1915 a group of Brampton ladies were accepting donations for charity outside the Dominion Bank.

On March the 3rd of 1989, the tradition was still being maintained. This time the ladies are at the same location, at the corner of Main & Queen Streets, collecting for the Red Cross. It is the same bank. However, the bank has a new building and a new name - The Toronto Dominion Bank. The building across the street has also been replaced.

Our schedule calls for an up-date of this original book to go to press early in 2009, but we haven't decided on a title for it yet. Should it be "Brampton Now & Then - An Update"? Or maybe we could call it "Brampton Now & Then - Again". Perhaps just plain old "Now & Then - Volume Two". When the original "Brampton Now & Then" was being prepared we found that very often some local residents had truly interesting and delightful old photos of Brampton. People seldom take pictures of buildings or streets, but they do take photos of their friends and families. Sometimes though,in the background, a classic photo of the community of the time can be found.
